Review on πŸŽ’ Fairview Osprey Women's Travel Backpack by Anthony Rael

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Never again a suitcase on wheels!

I LOVE this bag! We were traveling in Italy and it was my first time with a heavy backpack (I've never run/hiked/walked back). When I measured my torso I was between small and medium, I went for small and I think it worked great (I'm 5ft 2in, 135lbs and have a petite build). I traveled around Europe as easily as possible and easily managed to take the whole bag with me to check in, I even took a large bag over the head of a small 2x2 plane! I was concerned that the two straps at the bottom (sleeping bag straps) might get tangled when checking the bag at home, and while Osprey says they're removable, they're very difficult to remove. Even after contacting Osprey, I had to trim the straps on the side a bit and spend a long time trying to get them loose. If you have the same problem, just take them off before driving or just cut them off. Osprey says you can buy replacement straps if you want. The bag was delivered perfectly at home. I had a few small fragile items which I packed in the middle of the bag (as securely as I could) and everything arrived safe and sound. But to be honest, any big fragile things just send them home or just focus on the trip, you don't need to bring gifts for everyone :) I aim to keep the weight of the bag under 30lbs at the beginning the trip, but the bag really wasn't bad to carry. If you stand still for too long, just take off until you move again. It was very convenient to be able to place a small bag in front for better access, but for longer walks it is much more convenient for weight distribution to attach it to the main bag. The bag can get a bit warm as it doesn't have great airflow on the back (for a large and small bag) but having no comparison I had no complaints, really doesn't matter to me. I bought holdalls to help with compression and organization and I think keeping the bag small and maintaining weight distribution helped a lot. The smaller bag is great for everyday use, but I actually prefer a regular full sized backpack as the everyday bag is slightly larger. small side. But if you don't buy a lot, then a small bag is good. I love that the little bag has an adjustable collarbone strap which makes it very comfortable! FYI, Misty Gray is more of a light army green in my opinion. Remember, bring half of what you think you need and double the money! Your back/hip will thank you!
