At first I doubted it would work but it actually removed a lot of scale from a water heater and saved me thousands of dollars. Heaters are 13 years old and have not been flushed (descaled) for at least 5 years. I wanted to decalcify them with vinegar, but all the installers said there's a good chance a hole in the heat exchanger will be exposed because the limescale has probably already eaten through the pipe. They charged $600 for full maintenance on both, but couldn't guarantee they wouldn't leak after that. Water heater replacement prices ranged from $4,500 to $8,000 depending on size and quantity. If I wanted to keep my pipes and water heaters from scaling due to our very hard water, most plumbers would recommend a water softener or whole house water conditioner, which ranged from a few hundred to $10,000 because I have a 2-inch pipe have. And you said I probably should because it can cost $20,000 to replace pipes if they have too much scale in them. Kessel, I tried. He wanted to charge $700 to install a similar device, so I bought my own Aqua-Rex WK1-E for $452 and installed it myself. I figured this purchase would be a lot cheaper than any other option, given the chance If it worked, it could save thousands of dollars. Georgiou, Bendos, Calis and Kutis (2018). I measured the flow rate of the faucets in a bathroom and saw only a slight improvement over the course of seven months. I then decided to check the faucet sediment filter and found probably a tablespoon full of limescale behind the faucet filter in one of my bathrooms. It all just fell out when I unscrewed the filter from the faucet. Enlarge the attached photo to see the black and green dots on the scale. I showed this picture to three plumbers and they all agreed that Aqua-Rex had descaled my water heaters. . Now I don't have to flush my water heaters anymore, which saves time and money. I don't need to replace water heaters unless they're corroded by scale. And I don't have to buy a water softener or conditioner to try and save my pipes, which should now be mostly free of limescale. To be clear, Aqua-Rex will NOT soften your water. This will only prevent heavy limescale build-up in your pipes. There may still be scale on the outside of your faucets where this device stops working, but you can easily clean them. In addition to this device, it is very difficult to clean the pipes from debris. Most importantly, this device removes heavy deposits in the water heater, prolonging its life and ensuring efficient operation. My wife said she noticed a slight improvement in the softness of the water and the foamability of the soap, but I didn't notice anything. In any case, this is not the main advantage. It is a pity that more and more installers do not recommend these devices. I hate to say they have an interest in pushing customers towards costly water treatment and frequent water heater replacements. Try it. Make sure you install it correctly or it won't work. You can hire a plumber to install it if you're unsure, and it's still cheaper than replacing a water heater.
