Works well - I am very happy with this mat.
I use a quilt block seam press mat and am very happy with it. The iron can be set to a lower temperature and works very well even without steam. I put it on top of an old wooden cutting board on top of the tumble dryer - a large ironing board might not bother smaller projects. Very handy when you're short on space.
