Having a hematoma in your testicles is no fun. Do you know what a hematoma is? Mainly internal bleeding/swelling, which I sustained from blunt force trauma a few years ago. Unfortunately, I've never been the same again, but I won't let that get me down. I do MMA (methods/styles include: Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Western Boxing, Kali, Savate, Wing Chun/JKD) and Wrestling (techniques/styles include: Greco Romance, Sambo, BJJ, Judo). Given these styles listed, it's fair to say that I have almost every base, and when it comes to injury protection, I take it very seriously. My first attempt was a Diamond MMA compression/bench combo. I found them to slide down too easily, despite the drawstring the back of the shorts always seemed to sag more than I would have liked. Then there were a few shock doctors that didn't last long, and then it was an RDX cup that wasn't big enough for my rattle. I have a medium sized rattle so I was surprised but it just didn't have to be the right shape and I was sticking out on the sides. I ended up going with the Diamond brand because initially I was very happy with the mug and let me tell you this is THE BEST. The cup is more comfortable than ANYTHING else and the stitching is very high quality. Everything about the craftsmanship is fantastic and they have a great return and replacement policy. Take this from the guy who has to take care of his rattle as a top priority, this is a mug to get and well worth the money. Defects? The only thing I can think of is the cup itself, as an act of wearing it. This limits movement to some extent, for example if you want to pinch someone in the back you can pinch your legs completely but this is a disadvantage you have when carrying each cup, there is a slight lag in mobility, but in general this cup / bandage perfect.
