Review on 🧦 Darn Tough Men's No Show Tab Ultra Light Cushion Sock by Frank Webster

Fantastic merino wool socks that won't stand up to washing and drying.

I really want these merino wool socks from Darn Tough Co. They were quite comfortable and smelled fresh, but after a few weeks of use they quickly began to fall apart. I washed them on low heat and air dried them to keep the socks intact, but it was useless. These socks cost me about $17 a pair so I expected a lot more from them. Anyway, here are the specs of these socks: 51% Merino Wool / 45% Nylon / 4% Lycra and Spandex. Made in the USA. Made from fine merino wool with natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. Weight of wool yarn is half that of Darn Tough's Soft Socks with padding at base of foot - Still Made in Vermont, USA - Still Unconditional Lifetime Warranty - True Seamless construction ensures a seamless fit; do not slip, do not clump and do not become calloused. I was a bit disappointed to learn that these socks are not made from 100% merino wool as you can see from the actual specs above. I say that because 100% merino wool is a great product. Here are just a few reasons why merino wool is the best: (Why I'm frustrated that my socks are only 30% merino wool). dry all the time. Unlike other fabrics that can only absorb up to 7%, you'll get wet quickly. 2. It helps to stay warm/cool depending on the situation. Wool has a natural crimp that helps it trap more dead air than any other fiber. Dead air is a fantastic insulator and keeps the cold out. Wool has the ability to retain moisture within the fiber structure. As your body heats up, the moisture stored in the fiber begins to evaporate, cooling the air between the skin and the fabric. The warmer it gets, the more evaporation occurs and the greater the cooling effect. Finally, it also has odor resistance. Because of wool's ability to effectively regulate moisture, odor-causing bacteria don't have the moist environment they need to thrive. You can wear wool during intense activity and for long periods without worrying about odor. And since it's merino wool and not regular wool, it doesn't itch at all, it really is the perfect material for clothing. The only downside to merino wool is that clothing made from it is quite expensive and if it's regularly washed and dried instead of following the care label instructions, it will begin to fall apart. If you can afford Merino wool shirts, socks and more, I definitely recommend trying it out. It is very comfortable, you can sweat in it for several days and still smell fresh. You can't beat this. The good news is that you can send your damaged socks back to the company for free and get replacements for your troubles. Here are the details: One Mission: Darn Tough Vermont is a family-run American manufacturer of end-use socks. I love these socks, they keep my feet dry and smell nice. I just want them to have no gaps. I will try to send them back and keep you posted.
