I had my doubts but they are amazing. I've wanted on-ear headphones for a long time and finally decided to buy them before a long trip to Cambodia. I've seen these and had plenty of time to order, try and then come back for others when they disappoint. You didn't disappoint us. These are Keepers and I've used them on a couple of flights so thought I'd write a review. What I like: At the touch of a button, it's like I'm in the library, not on the plane. Brilliant. - I have been using the MIE2i headset for years and have found it to be the best in terms of comfort. - What has always kept me from buying the on-ear version is the size factor. I already have quite a few things in my backpack and I couldn't imagine putting them there. That's why I've always used cheaper in-ear headphones. They fit perfectly in a glasses case and are much better protected. The case that comes with these headphones is pathetic and they should be ashamed to send this to us. Thick, tangle-resistant cables have their pros and cons. Yes, they are thick and can be annoying at times. And so sticky that they sometimes stick to clothing. But the cable is durable and appears to be able to withstand some abuse when traveling. The pros outweigh the cons for me. I want them to last and I'm surprised but I think they will. A battery would not be my first choice. But it lasts 16 hours, charges quickly and I always keep the battery in my pocket so I can charge it at the airport before landing if I forget to charge it or it runs out unexpectedly. Finally, yes, I use them with music. or a film in flight - a piece of paradise. But I also use them alone - just for noise-cancellation throughout the flight - and since they're in-ear style I can take naps too. If you have money, you want it.
