I've been using a Netgear N dual band adapter for years I'm on a 1GB Sonic network in San Francisco and decided to look for a power adapter , if that's the case price was right. For $20 for this Mytechkey adapter I made the jump. Background: With my Netgear adapter I got a connection speed of 163 Mbit/s and it gave speedtest results of 100/100 Mbit/s (R/W) which is pretty good. Received the adapter on Saturday. It appeared in N 2.4G mode. I had to search for quite a bit to find that I had to change the driver settings (Device Manager > Network Adapters > Realtek 8812BU Network Card > Advanced > Wireless Mode > 802.11ac) to get it working. After that, the results were pretty impressive, typically around 250/250Mbps on Speedtest. It works at different levels -585-680-760-867 Mbps depending on your needs. FYI, the connection speed during the speed test is 585, so the limit is due to the server and other factors, not the adapter. Also, AC mode only works in 5G mode. I haven't spent time working with N mode and I don't know how to get a 1200Mbps connection. After three days of flawless performance, I would recommend giving this tryAttached adapter screenshots of the measured performance.
