The price was more than reasonable. All I really needed was a tape measure, but it was too good to resist. I now have one for the house, tool box, my truck and I gave one to my 11 year old daughter who was delighted with the gift. The appearance is light in color, so not easy to lose (hopefully). The locking works smoothly. The tape shows both "lines" and 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 and 7/8 for those of us who can't read simple lines. It looks like a reliable and durable tool.
