Review on 🖨️ Fully Assembled Monoprice Select Mini Printer by Jayshawn Cuatlayol

I bought this printer with high hopes of entering the world of 3D printing at a modest price. I had two of these printers within a week, the first one I received just printed a cat.gcode test file which to thank the printers printed very well. Every other file I uploaded to the memory stick after cutting the .stl files into the correct gcodes for the printer didn't move the actual printer as the status bar showed me "progress" that supposedly was made on my print. On two occasions it appeared as if the printer was actually printing a file that wasn't a test file, causing it to do a better job of sliding all the way forward, with the nozzle advancing to the far right corner before falling repeatedly as it tried to continue , as the engines began to grind. The only way to fix this is to turn off the printer completely. I thought it might be an issue with the small SD card that came with the printer, so I tried connecting the printer to my computer but found that the micro USB slot wasn't working. 3 separate machines had no communication with the printer. So it looks like I got a defective unit that I can exchange for another model, so there are guarantees and returns, I can understand that. What I don't understand is how the replacement model I received ended up in a box that was cut up (the original was double boxed with the MonoPrice logo on the outer box) as soon as I took the printer out of the box I was given obviously something is wrong. because the power cable for the printer was glued to the foam packaging by the painters. Opening it further I found that the user manual was missing, the SD card and test filament (a pretty obvious sign it had been used), the bed alignment Allen key was attached to the side of the printer. Worst of all the yellow tape around the nozzle has basically been ripped off and the thermistor has been ripped off the print nozzle, this automatically means this printer will not work as stated in the product description out of the box. My replacement printer arrived in worse condition than my original. It was an awful experience from what is usually a great company. I am returning both printers to Amazon and I really hope they stop bothering other customers with these two broken units! I have included photos of my "spare" model for reference of how this product was received.
