Assembly test

Easy test assembly: Assemble according to the instructions. NOTE: The cable that goes into the orange adapter must have a YELLOW outer sleeve when you removed it. The yellow outer sheath to get to the black core wire doesn't work. With the YELLOW sheath inserted and the 2 screws tightened, use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the 2 screws you just tightened, the resistance will vary (3000-400 ohms) depending on the length of the cable. Check between each screw and the end of the AC plug to see if the fuse is good. Connect the device together and plug it in. You should feel the cable warm up. The light on the AC input is on but I can't tell if it's before or after the fuse but now I know there is NO thermostat in the orange adapter so you can put it in a heated room and run the wire . outdoors where necessary (currently 12°F). Also please note that the gel END CAP does nothing but protect the end wires from short circuits or corrosion, it does not affect the performance of the cable. I subtracted a star for instructions that didn't include the simple procedure above for verifying the installation and protecting your pipes with a running installation. What is "Transparency"?
