We bought this desk for our 6 year old granddaughter (we are raising her) to put in her grandfather's office so they can 'work' together. It took my husband and adult son about 90 minutes to put it together without much difficulty. She does her homework (we always studied at home), plays with her playdough, puts together small puzzles, reads books and much more at this table. We love the table lamp, the amount of storage space (including cup holders!) and the ability to adjust both the chair and table as they grow! Because of its size and looks, I would recommend buying this table and chair for children aged 4-9 years old. All in all a great purchase!
