Review on Deconovo Darkening Insulated Blackout Curtains by Maurice Branch

couldn't find curtains of the right length at any department store near my house. I ordered these because I often work the night shift and am very sensitive to light when trying to rest. They do an excellent job of blocking the sun and keeping my house warm. They don't block the light 100%, but very close. The curtains themselves don't let any light through the fabric, the only light that comes out is from the sides and top of the rod, but that's more of an issue with the way my window was built. I live in Wyoming and it easily gets -50 degrees with wind gusts in excess of 60mph. I can feel the cold air from the street clinging to the curtains, but this winter I've tried to reduce my electricity consumption and only turn on the electric underfloor heating in my living room. These curtains help keep my 2 bedroom apartment very warm even though only one of the four rooms in the house has a heater. I have a white long haired cat and for some reason there doesn't seem to be any real static electricity due to his fur not sticking to him. I have a ledge on the wall that runs under the window like a window sill, and my kitten sits on the window every day. Overall I am very satisfied and would buy this brand again if I ever need it.
