it sticks out a bit but still works well. I used Permatex Ultra Black.
It's twice as deep as what I got from my '87 Dana 44, sticks out a bit but still works fine. I used some Permatex Ultra Black RTV around the edge to make sure it didn't bleed, but I always do.
