I just got this KVM switch to connect my work laptop to my ultrawide monitor for my home pc. It works, but it could be better. I want my home computer to "trick" it into thinking the monitor is still plugged in when I switch to my laptop. When I flip the switch to my laptop, my home computer thinks I've disabled my monitor and any apps/windows/icons running/displayed on that monitor are transferred to the second monitor. They don't switch back when I switch back to my home computer. I also wish it had keyboard switching. Otherwise it works fine. Tip: If you don't get the full resolution when you connect your PC, try a new cable. I've found that older HDMI cables (and some DisplayPort adapters) don't support 4k resolution.
