I took this for a couple of dives I was planning on not having much luck with my DSLR. Not knowing this tray existed, I was afraid to buy a whole new setup from scratch, down to trays and light hands. When I finally found this tray I was glad I already had all my hands and other hardware from my gear. To switch to this tray, all I had to do was take my Go Pro out of my regular bag, attach the Go Pro to this tray, and finally use the quick connect for my light weapons and move them around. Very easy. After a few dives I considered removing the bottom handle as I used the side handles almost exclusively. I guess I just stuck with what I knew and used. Even before diving, I switched to a metal tripod adapter for professional photographers. I've had some broken plastic adapters in the past so an upgrade seemed necessary, but I can't say if the mount that comes with this tablet is any more reliable. Under water the complete setup (Go Pro Hero 4 Black, Dual 1200 Soli and Dual Locklines with light and movement) was "mostly" neutrally buoyant. It was just a blurry negative, but barely noticeable. When I let go, the entire facility freezes for a second or two and then slowly begins to sink into the salt water. Overall this was a great addition to my gear that can be disassembled and easily packed for travel.
