I bought two for an upcoming trip. I really enjoy using it with the Sony Handycam - I've always found that holding a small camcorder requires an awkward wrist position unless you're holding the camera directly in front of your face. The pistol grip allows you to hold the camera comfortably and shoot from any position. There is also one for a full frame Canon camera, on which I use a Tamron 150-600mm telephoto lens. The overall weight of the system is significant. Attached to the lens tripod mount, this grip offers excellent and secure control. What's great is that the strap mount on the bottom can be unscrewed so you can attach the monopod directly without having to remove the grip - a great feature!
