Review on Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 215/50 R17 95T by Wiktor Getka ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend.

I needed to get a set of 255/55/17 winter tires for a brand new automobile. My usual hangout is Nokian Hakkapeliita, and I always leave happy. 5 people, 7 people, 8 people. Michelin x-ice north xin2 tires were the loudest tires I've ever driven on, so I returned them. Hakkapellita 9 was available in my size, but the price was prohibitive (almost $11,000). As a result of my research, I have decided to purchase a set of Hankook Tire Winter i * Pike RS2 W429 255/50 R17 - 7280. Since I first got it at the end of October, I've put in roughly 400 hours of combined city and highway driving. The balancing process was successful. 15-20 grams were hanged from a nearly brand-new factory casting. Acceleration and braking are smooth, with speeds reaching 100, and I did not feel like I was riding on rails during the 600 kilometers of run-in. The tires aren't something to write home about. Hakkapeliita has superior handling in many respects. Yes, Hankook is reasonably priced and, in this case, justified. Car Mondeo 5, a D-class automobile, is large and hefty. The tires have a good grip on the road, and the 235 millimeter width lets you go faster. Drifts form on under-rolled snow, prompting operators to activate correcting mechanisms. OK on the ice, but not amazing. Porridge is OK on the water; I had no issues and barely noticed any hydroplaning. The stopping performance on asphalt is adequate. They begin with a significant slip on slick pavement. My anti-bux beeped today as a car on R18 passed me without braking. That is, I'm not driving totally chill as I did in Hakkapeliit, but neither am I clenching my fists in a death grip on the wheel. It's crucial that I feel confident in my tires because I drive quickly and occasionally extreme (140-150 on the interstate, continual passing). I think the rubber is great value for money for individuals who often travel between 100 and 110 miles per hour on the highway. In my opinion, it's an 8. I didn't have enough information to make an informed purchase; there were only two reviews, and they didn't really cover anything. I truly hope this review aids you in making your purchase. Only one or two of my spikes came loose over the season, but that's okay because I don't need them for racing. Superb rubber.

Pros
  • Value for money Peaceful
Cons
  • Axle boxes on snow porridge outnumber the heads of competitors.
