My grandson is 4 years old and weighs 45 pounds. He wears a 5 so I bought a size 5-6. I would say run a little less. Fine for him, but if your son is 6 I would appreciate it. I have bought many boxers for my 3 grandchildren, so I am familiar with this brand. They are so soft with a slim waistband. The colors are bright and charming. These are the softest boxer shorts I've ever bought. I have bought many more expensive organic products and this brand wins! I also bought matching tanks which also evoke a sense of high end luxury. Review all eligible products sold by the same brand. The money quality is the best. I will buy more in the future.
