I have already bought 3 of these between my two dogs. I find them pretty smooth. One was chewed by my little girl because I forgot about it. So I had to replace it. But I've been using them consistently for the past few months and they're still holding up for the most part. One of them begins to stretch. Literally 2 days ago my boy slipped out even though he was a standard size. Now I am very careful with these collars. I strip them before bed, strip them while the dogs are busy and don't let them get wet. I think the stretch comes from what he's pulling as he walks. I thought leather would be more durable but I don't expect leather. I don't blame the product, my dog is a strong puller. But if your dog is the same, be careful as things may turn out differently after a while. Even though the collar only lasted about 3 or 4 months I will buy another one as it is a smooth collar and you can't beat the price. . I still recommend it to everyone!
