Review on SILVERFEVER Leather Shoulder Organizer Handbag: The Ultimate Women's Handbag & Wallet Combo in Shoulder Bags by Brooke Johnson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It smells and has an uncomfortably tight strap, but at least it has POCKETS!

I haven't bought a leather bag in years and forgot how they smell! (more on that in a moment) and it didn't cost a fortune. I also prefer that it's made in the USA. Ha. Dream! Well, the handbag has many pockets. So I think 1 out of 4 is not bad. This wallet is well constructed although I might have designed/made it an inch longer so the front small zipped pocket could have zipped you could put 4 fingers in to get spare change. It's only 2 small ones for more than 3 (small) fingers. The other front pocket closes with Velcro, but fits my heavy-duty 12-inch measuring tape, which I never leave the house without. I would actually prefer the magnetic closure on this bag. But the bag is well lined, so that's a plus. And now for that really pathetic justification for the strap. Because of this design flaw, I lowered my rating by one point. POOH. It's thin, almost rigid, and it's riveted instead of having carabiners on each end, so you can take this stupid thing off and replace it with a wider one that won't stick or slip and is more comfortable and therefore more useful. This type can be used to make the wallet a real shoulder bag. This skinny, hard thing will make carrying a handbag over your shoulder an ordeal. Things that hurt in terms of clothing and accessories in MY world tend to take less getting used to than things that are more comfortable! The other zippers are good and seem to be more durable than some of the plastic zippers I have on other bags. The back pocket is a zip pocket only, nothing inside is recommended (perhaps as another zip pocket) except that it is lined. It mostly helps with wear and tear. The central zip pocket of the wallet has a zip pocket, which is nice. Otherwise the place is basic, maybe for a wallet? I suspect there would be enough room for one. Then there is a front organizer pocket so I caved and bought this bag. It has 8 card slots! GREAT! It has a normal smaller wall pocket made of mesh-like fabric. Dark in color of course so it will be difficult for you to SEE there if you are an elderly like me. (I've never been able to understand the purpose of those mesh things in the purse). The organizer pocket zips securely and is well designed, but I think I would have used a longer zip for easier access to things. I don't think it opens wide enough. All in all, am I glad I bought this? Qualified yes. I would have preferred the beautiful nylon fabric inside and leather outside. But I've been looking for a very long time and aside from fanny packs this is the only bag that has lots of pockets, decent zippers and oh how I WISH it had the best STRAP design! I have to fix it somehow. Or maybe finally finish what I designed and have been doing for almost 2 years now. until a cataract stopped my efforts. Good luck to anyone looking for a small wallet with lots of pockets that is well made and not worth the world.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
