The rod is too thin for the weight limit.
You'd think something weighing 90 pounds would be built with a thicker stem. Long story short, I placed it on top of the whirlpool lift and the silver poles flexed like a pretzel. They are thinner than my 40lbs he was previously and weren't strong enough to hold the lid upright.
