Great tool for the price. I've found that I need to rebuild it for it to work properly. The problem is that the axle was sloppy and the parts scratched each other and scratched the nice anodized red and black finish. The pivot screw locks the tool when tightened. If you adjust the rod's free play, the screw will loosen and back out, and the rod will become messy again. The fix is to use some Loctite on the pivot bolt. Apply Loctite, set the bolt for no play/seize, let the Loctite cure overnight and the next day you should be fine. The tool was probably designed correctly, but when it went into production its parts were replaced. The plastic hinge washers are too thick, so the hinge screw cannot be tightened without binding the hinge.
