Parts fit perfectly. Assembly took about 10 minutes without instructions. This is an update. I was very pleased when I first received the item and I knew people had problems with clips breaking. I was fine as they sent 2 extra clips (I should have been warned then). I used the product for 3 days and 3 clips broke. It's a shame, because the base is certainly of good quality. Pretty good considering the price. But why would they always use the same clamps (hard plastic with very little "flexibility") when breakage was obviously a problem that the seller knows about. I also had trouble swapping out the two addons I had as the clamp is small and the screws that hold it in place are small and I have normal sized hands. Still too big to easily insert a screw. I think flexible rubber clamps would be much better. If the rubber clamps are more expensive, add a few dollars to the price of the rack. I regret buying this.
