Review on 🔊 HET HONKENT HiFi OFC Speaker Wire: 12 AWG, 300X2 Strand, Banana Plug to Banana Plug - 5.0M(16.4ft) x2PCS by Eduardo Reyes

For space reasons I had to shorten this cable to mount a 90° banana plug on one end. The wire is about 14 AWG, maybe 13 but definitely not 12! Otherwise the wire is pure copper with many strands. I'm disappointed but not very angry. I figured I saved some money by buying real 12 gauge spool of oxygen free copper speaker wire. I don't need a 12 gauge for the length and power/wattage I'm using or I would request a refund. The outer shell was carefully removed with a 12 gauge cutter. The inner shell is clean cut to 14 gauge, but a few copper threads have also come loose. That lets me say the wire is between 12 and 14 gauge. Buy with confidence knowing you're not getting 12 gauge speaker wire. Banana terminals are dense and of high quality.
