I just received my new 22614 and while I don't usually write reviews for things I felt an obligation. Firstly, I'm not entirely sure about some of the negative reviews. about this vacuum is actually for this model. With the 22614, the hose exits the vacuum horizontally rather than vertically, making it very stable and easy to follow while you work. So no problem. I always try to read reviews about the things I buy but sometimes I just don't understand if they are right or not. There were many reviews and most of the negative ones seemed to be for a different model? Second, it's a lot better than the worn and really worn Panasonic it replaces! We have been running the house together for 30 years and have already gone through a few vacuums. We have dogs so pet hair is always a problem and our house is quite old and the plastered walls generate quite a bit of dust. As such, it can be quite a hassle to keep it clean and our canister vacuums tend to break a lot along the way. This new vacuum cleaner was launched today and first impressions are that it's really, really good. It's a bit heavy, but that makes it stable; It had no problem maneuvering over uneven surfaces while remaining upright. The manual seems well written, the electric brush head feels very powerful and not having to change vacuum bags was nice. The cable wrap seemed a little stiff, but it's brand new so it might not be an issue later. Our cable locked perfectly, there was a problem in a review, there is no problem in that. The cord also doesn't get as hot as our old vacuum cord, which is very reassuring. However, enough power; I was just amazed at how much dust and dog hair was removed from the most heavily trafficked carpet in the house. Very impressive performance so far. It went outside for the first time today so I can't say how well it will hold up but the design seems very simple and most of the bins look like they could be washed in the sink if they are are connected. The materials appear to be high quality and feel solid, unfortunately this also means some weight and the device is a bit heavy. There are two filters; round on top, which is washable, and rectangular HEPA on the bottom, which isn't. Filters are not very expensive, let's see how long they last. Considering how much dust and hair it picked up today, there hasn't been too much dirt in the filters so far, so they can last quite a while. ; because they really don't exist. Just below the stem on a stick is some sort of clip that holds a narrow nozzle and a small dusting brush, that's all. The accessory is exposed and somewhat in the way, but the clip seems to hold them securely. I think time will tell how well this works; It may just take some time to get used to and then it won't be a problem. So five stars so far. I see no reason to remove the clip for the accessory as it doesn't matter much. I don't see the point of losing one for the weight; because it conveys a very good sense of quality. Maybe it's a matter of generations, but it seems that 'simple' often goes hand in hand with 'cheap' these days. It feels like this rig went through a few laps and still stands. I hope this review helps anyone who is thinking about buying this vacuum cleaner.
