This carrier is very well made, has more than enough ventilation and comes with a very soft pressure pad. I was very impressed! I did a test run with this backpack bag and my cat was fine for about 5 minutes. When he found he couldn't lie up straight in it, he started to whine and then got angry. I thought there was a little more room at the bottom but it's still a great product. I'll admit he's larger than the average house cat (20 pounds) so don't let that influence your decision. I just couldn't imagine taking him to the vet in that, especially if he needed to be sedated for some reason. But he loves to sleep in it!
