My curls always need a little extra help and this repellent mask has added definition and shape to my curls. I used this mask right after my shower when my hair was still wet. I left the mask on for a full 20 minutes and wore my hair in a shower cap while it lasted. After that, I washed it all off and went on with my usual hair care routine. This product smells absolutely amazing which I really appreciate as the whole process is so long and you have to sit on your hair with it for so long. I probably won't have the patience to do this every week, but I will probably do it every once in a while when I feel like my curls need a refresher. In general I am satisfied with the results. My hair is visibly frizzier and feels very soft. DevaCurl products are known to contain proteins. So when your hair doesn't respond well to proteins, it can weigh down your hair. This bottle is a little more expensive than I would normally pay for a bottle of hair product, but if you're looking to treat yourself, it's probably worth it. For anyone following the Curly Girl shelf, the company has changed the composition of many of their products and this product is not approved for curly girls as it contains drying alcohols.
