Let me preface this by saying that I have a 47.5" bust, 36H in bra size, and I ordered the XL. I was actually expecting to have to return this - but was VERY pleasantly surprised to discover that it held the ladies in check (and gave me great cleavage), and I was able to close it quite well without leaving a too-large gap! The fabric is soft but very durable, the boning is in front AND in back and is quite sturdy, and the back lacing helps to get an even better fit. The ends of the laces do fray a bit if, like me, you have to unknot the ends and pull the lacing out of a few holes in order to get it around the boobage. That's easily remedied, though. Overall, excellent product for a very inexpensive price!
