Review on LONTAN 4502S3-18 Soft Close Heavy Duty Drawer Slides - 18 Pairs Full Extension With 100 LB Capacity For Kitchen Cabinets by Anthony Rael

I have installed a total of 13 pairs of these throughout my kitchen over the last month. I am extremely disappointed with the inconsistent behavior of the SoftClose function. As can be seen in the video, these drawers are BOTH the new slides. You see one drawer closes virtually with NO soft-close function. I would say it was just one or two slides, but each slide I got in the set seemed to behave slightly differently in some way (some have better bearings than others, some self-close faster/slower than others, etc).As mentioned online and in reviews, installation of these slides is time consuming and tedious. You have to make adjustments to the mounting to ensure everything is perfectly square and level. It took me (a somewhat handy engineer) about 30-40 min per pair.The ball bearings and full extension are must-have for drawer slides. I would just avoid the self-close function with these slides. The full soft-close mechanism is plastic and I am confident they will last less than 5 years. Heck, even immediately after installation, I am seeing some fail (like in the video). Avoid this soft close garbage and just get basic full-extension and steel ball bearings.
