Couldn't bend it while sewing but with the last set I bought a few months ago the manufacturer bought thousands of the cheapest Sewing needles they could find from a new source without having to test them. Those new cardboard wrapped cord kits are awful. In the old kits I own, the thread is wound on a small spool. These sets had really strong needles. I have to use the Gerber multiplier to pull the needle through the material because I keep bending it and trying to push the needle through the material. The rest of the kit is good.
