Review on Auto Meter 3247 Pro Lite Temperature by Brian Campbell
Due to the resistance at the terminals, devices will work with a small load.
Due to the terminal resistance, low load devices are activated without closing the switch. If you are using this with an LED and/or a piezo buzzer you will need to use a relay. Other temperature switches I've used (various brands) didn't have this problem.
