Expensive but worth it
I have considered buying generic but to be honest the cost per unit would still be cheaper than the long term cost of dental care. The quality is second to none, they last way longer than anything else. The packaging is a bit over the top for only 5 small toothbrush heads. In addition, when you open a large package, each head is individually wrapped in a plastic and paper backing.
