I bought these to hang curtains in a rented house because I didn't want to poke holes in the walls. They didn't work with the self-adhesive layer on the back of the mount. My curtains fell several times. The rod and curtains were very light but still didn't hold up. According to another review, I bought some reinforced command strips (7 pounds), cut them in half and glued them in place of the original glue. Works well, the curtains didn't fall. I don't know if they are ideal for hanging blinds as the rod will be close to the wall. They are working for me right now to add a nice touch to the rooms for rent.
