I've used electrodes 1/16 and 3/32 through two argon tanks so far - with good performance. Notes: 1) The collets hold the electrodes securely, and 2) The edges of the shields fit snugly against the inside of the collet bodies. Nothing wrong with that - I wish the same ones came in larger sizes.
