The cord just pulled out of our fan switch so it couldn't be plugged back in. After a little research I found a switch and adapted it to this one. Instead of looking at new fans, we were made aware of the possibility that this could be fixed. The part arrived and as instructed I switched off the power and used a small screwdriver to press on the opening of each of the 4 wire connectors on the switch to release them and attached the wires one at a time to the new switch and left for 15 minutes. he was like new. As the instructions warn, DO NOT CUT the wires as they are solder dipped allowing insertion. Otherwise they won't be stiff enough to push the new derailleur in. For just over $8, it was the perfect solution!
