Review on Sketching Pencils Set - Art Graphite Pencils (6B-4H) 🖍️ for Kids and Adult Artists - Sketch & Drawing Tools by Carla Anderson

This is my review of the ROCOD Professional Drawing Sketch Pencil Set of 12 pieces. First, these aren't professional drawing pens, but they're not bad. They are light weight, well sharpened and have a nice smooth enameled body. I haven't had a point break when I "throw" them on paper or draw with them, but I almost never do. However, the dots are not particularly fragile. The softer ones were good for shading and sketching. Three of them were slightly scratched on the paper, and one - 3H - had slightly darker areas in the shading that I painted while scratching, so there are darker and harder parts of something in front. . The 4H and HB sharpeners scratched the paper a bit, but weren't bothersome. The eraser was very effective, always a plus, and while I did feel that sharpeners make pointed areas too long which could lead to breakage, the tips were pretty good. Big. I tried one of the sharpeners on some of my crayons and it worked fine. The hinged metal box is a nice box, but it's not done quite right. Every time I open or close mine it makes a loud noise as two pieces of metal collide. The extension doesn't seem to fit pencils and it's long for an extension which might be a plus for some if it fits their pencils. So I have mixed feelings about this set. On the one hand, it has a good range of hardness, so there is a pencil for almost every drawing or sketch. They are comfortable to hold and due to their hexagonal shape, they don't roll over the table that easily. Scratches on three of the pencils got in the way and one had problems. I was disappointed with the box, I liked the eraser and the sharpeners aren't very good but they're good enough to carry around and use when you're away from your main sharpener. Overall I would rate this set a 3 1/2 for the reasons I have given. Maybe I got a set with unusual issues since everyone else gave this set 5 stars, or maybe as someone who has been drawing for decades I can expect a little more from my pencil sets.
