Review on ARCLIBER Cellulose Sponge: Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge for Scratch-Free Kitchen Cleaning - 6 Pack by Charles Barney

100% biodegradable. Planet earth says thank you.

I have been using Scotch Brite kitchen sponges for a long time, happily enjoying their functionality and being completely unaware of their impact on the planet as they are not biodegradable. So I think it's time (past tense actually) that I start using cellulose sponges for cleaning. I've recently ordered several other cellulose sponges that have a natural loofah cleaning side, but have found them awkward to use due to their inflexibility. Loofahs trying to wash glasses and cups. So I like these lips better. If I need to clean the surface, I just use a separate scrubber. Another fun thing about these sponges is that they're compressed, flat like a card, or a hard cracker. Put them in water and they will quickly expand into a sponge. My grandkids have been enjoying it lately. I mention here, however, that you should rinse them very well before use. We put them in clean water in a large bowl and found that the water became cloudy. Rinse well before use to clean something. Another not so good thing about them is that they have been bleached and dyed. In my set there are three white and three blue sponges. I'm pretty sure these colors don't occur naturally.

Pros
  • MAGIC SIZE - You will MAGICALLY see the card you receive turn into a sponge filled with water.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
