Pre-studied this and other monitors. Nothing compares to the size of this monitor. That, combined with 1440p 27-inch pixel density, gsync, high refresh rates, etc. This is a premium monitor that offers good value for money. Most Bad Fan Ratings. I can't hear the fan and I know other reviewers can't. I suspect it's just a random squeaky fan which I personally suggest can go away if you just take care of it. I have a projector that got loud a couple of times and then just shut off. Also, I would recommend checking out how others have tweaked the settings. I've seen a complaint that the monitor resets some settings when it goes to sleep and wakes up. This is only possible if you leave the "deep sleep" mode activated. I would recommend everyone to just turn it off. So yes, if you do your research, really understand your monitor and all of its capabilities, etc., I almost guarantee you won't be disappointed. There aren't many 38 inch monitors out there and this one is the best in its class in my opinion. One final note: I currently have a 1080ti which is killing everything at 1440p. 3840x1600 challenges the card. The Witcher 3 on ultra settings is around 55 fps. It's definitely playable with gsync, and I can't underestimate how the huge viewing angle makes the game exciting and immersive. Personally, I got this monitor with the expectation that I'll be upgrading to the Nvidia 30 series soon (assuming it comes out as the rumor has it). The last thing I haven't figured out yet is 10-bit vs 8-bit RGB. . I'm excited about 10 bits, but I want to do more testing to see if I can really see the difference. You can only use 10bit at 120hz with HDR enabled, which is no problem with my current 1080ti. But once I can increase the frame rate, I might find it worth sticking with the 8-bit resolution, which can be increased up to 160Hz. FYI, 175Hz degrades RGB to the point where it's not worth it anymore. If this information puts you off, let me tell you that many monitors do. At some point you have to sacrifice one trait for another, and of course they advertise the best of all possible traits. If you consider this a 110ppi, nano-ips, 1ms, G-sync monitor with 8-bit RGB at 160Hz or 10-bit at 120Hz, you won't be disappointed. Don't count HDR for nothing lol. (According to all reliable sources, HDR 400 with global illumination is not really HDR) Goodbye!
