In video production I sometimes need a monitor to use my talent. With this device you can use any monitor with VGA input or output. The nice thing is that you can use a regular CAT5 or CAT6 cable to connect them. It's unlikely I'll ever need to test the claimed 950ft range, but I can say it works great out to 50ft, the longest cable I have on hand. Operation couldn't be easier. You take the VGA audio and video output from a device and feed it to the transmitter box. Connect the receiver end to the audio and VGA inputs on the other end and you're done. You need to adjust the gain and peak settings to get the best reception on your receiver. It is best to use a non-conductive tool to make adjustments. For those who need to set up remote monitors, this extender comes in very handy. Jerry
