Nice and clever idea, but small and not particularly reliable

What cat doesn't love to jump into boxes and snuggle up in them? That's the logic behind this cat sanctuary, and it's perfectly legal. This cat house looks like a box because it is, but it looks way better than shipping boxes. However, there are a few caveats. First, it's rather small. My cats aren't particularly big, but this was assembled and sat for about a week, and none of my four cats did anything but sniff and walk on it. Also, the "hammock" is pretty flimsy on top - I can't even imagine one of my cats lying on it, although there are two dowels on either side of the box to reinforce the sides of the box. (Dowels also secure it to the "roof" of the box. However, I think it will be very popular with kittens and younger, smaller cats - anyone small enough to use a scratching post in it. Mine are basic too big to scratch on it, especially with the hammock on it.. I didn't find the box particularly easy to assemble, although I've assembled more cat furniture than I can count. The big problem was the instructions printed on the back of the box, and it's difficult to take the tabs apart, connect the pieces together, or what the heck was the intention with the reinforcement pins at the top.I finally figured it out but it was far from perfect.I'll give it to him another week or so to see if any of the cats show interest, if so I'll update the review For kittens if you don't mind $25 for a glorified box too pay any others.
