being wheelchair bound and living in central florida is gonna rain and lately it's like the rainy season. Being in a wheelchair, I travel light but try to be prepared for whatever life throws at me. This umbrella was the right size to carry and with one hand it fit my needs, opening and closing around the house worked perfectly but just the other day I had to use it in a sudden downpour. I press the opening button and nothing, I had to press hard on the top and bottom of the umbrella to cock it like a pump action shotgun and then I was able to open it. Again, I made sure the device was fully closed and locked, the second time I got caught in a heavy downpour, and again I got soaked to the skin because the one-touch unlock didn't work and I had to cock the device again open it. When open the device works great keeping me and my chair dry, only unreliable and consistent when opened with a touch. 13-Sep-15 update: A device issue has been fixed without notice. The company got back to me immediately after my last message and within two days I had a replacement! The new one works with no problems, this company has made money on all my future umbrella purchases, GREAT customer service!
