I ordered this for my 14 month old after reading many positive reviews. She's shown a genuine interest and understanding of "how things work" over the past few months and fits together, so I wanted to find something that would challenge her while entertaining. It's been less than a week but I can say this puzzle will grow with you - for fun and because it looks well built. She can really sit mesmerized with it for 15-20 minutes just by taking the pieces off and putting them back on. So far she's only mastered single pencils/circles, but she's working hard on the 2 and 3 pencil rectangle/triangle shapes - so this is perfect, something to keep working on. Keep in mind that there are a lot of pieces that can end up anywhere. When she's done with the puzzle, she likes to carry it around and put it up in different places around the house. But it's no different than many other toys and she plays with it differently. A great price for a toy that entertains them so much.
