Large Tristan jug with transparent Komax lid - just what we were looking for! Our kitchen sink has a water filter spout and we were looking for a pitcher to top up that water and chill it in the fridge. I wanted it to be big enough that it didn't need to be refilled too often, but not too big/heavy for kids (10+). This pitcher is perfect for that purpose! This volume is enough to fill 2 large reusable water bottles or 3-4 normal drinking glasses. As an added bonus, its design (relatively tall, with a small base and a handle that doesn't protrude much) means it takes up very little fridge space. It's just perfect for the height of my top shelf in the fridge (11 inches), so I'm planning to buy an extra one so I always have chilled water on hand. As soon as I unpacked it, I was impressed by the quality of the plastic. We've used it for a few weeks and it seems to be very durable. The top lid has a fold-down spout, which is very convenient. Plus, the lid is easy to remove for refills, but stays secure when in place. Very happy with this purchase! Note. I originally ordered a jug with a clear lid and an orange lid (because I didn't understand the difference between the two). They look equally good in quality and design, but the one with the clear lid is about 2 inches taller (the orange lid jar I received is just under 9 inches and the clear lid jar is just under 10 3/4 inches). ). Since the clear one fits in my fridge, I can chill more water with the same "footprint" so I used it. A pitcher with an orange lid might be better for young children or if your fridge shelves aren't that tall.
