This is an excellent radio. My Thoughts-1) Reception is excellent FM and AM reception. SW reception is ok. (This also depends on your region/time) 2) The speaker has absolutely amazing sound for its size. The speaker does not distort at full volume3) Design - Thoughtful design, lightweight and comfortable to hold. Nicely placed buttons. It has a nice classic rectangular design (not the square/rectangular shape which I don't like). You can hold it horizontally or vertically. It also has a rear stand, a 16 1/2 inch swiveling antenna. 4) Functionality - FM/AM/SW/MP3 player with Micro USB/Radio and audio recording. Price-performance ratio! You can't expect more for this price range. I highly recommend it!
