Product with good design but short cables

Case with good design --- Genius is not a strong word. There are 2 sets of 4 screws that cannot be confused and the parts of the assembly can only be put together one way. The power pack (transformer) is located at the end of the cable so that it does not heat up the device. You insert the hard drive and then put on the case. And it's pretty compact. My main criticism of the device is that both cables (USB and power) are quite short. There is no brand name on the packaging either. There is a sticker on the package that says X0023Z2EOP and a barcode. Maybe it's the model number. Thus, this could be improved without increasing the production cost of the device. Longer cables might also help, but would increase production costs, so there would be a trade-off in that case.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
