Review on Case Logic DVB 200 Liner Capacity by Steven Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saves a lot of space!

We've collected about 1000 movies and they take up a TON of valuable space. I did a lot of research and found a really cool case logic that has 92 movie sets. I need about 10 of these to make my entire collection. I bought one to try out to see if I like it and so far I'm very happy with it. If you look at the 92 physical movies in their sleeves and compare them to this sleeve, you'll be amazed at how much space you save. What worries me the most is that it will be difficult to find a movie in such a system. But since I catalog my collection using the CollectorZ software, I was able to specify a location for each film. For example, each folder I fill out is labeled A, B, C, D, etc. There are 46 pages in total. So in the "Location" column in the software, I gave each movie a location that should look like "Binding A - Page 31". Each sleeve can hold two films, so the two films that are next to each other are in the same place. You don't need to use capture software for this, you can use spreadsheets to do the same. I've been using the CollectorZ software for many years now and really like it. Anyway, it took me about 3 hours to finish the folder. I tried to fold the cover to fit inside the envelope but it didn't fit. Read some other reviews here and someone mentioned they folded the spline as well. But I tried and it took too long and to be honest it didn't look good. So I just cut out the cover and threw away the synopsis because I didn't actually do it because it's in the cataloging program. First, I can use the software to search for a specific movie and get the location instantly. It's a really clever way. The only problem is what to do with all the hard cases? The DVB-200 itself is fairly well made out of some sort of faux leather material. It has lots of double stitching for extra durability with a nice thick handle. It also has a full zip so you don't have to worry about the films falling out, they actually fit the sleeves quite snugly. The plastic ties holding all the sleeves seem to be quite strong, I don't think they'll break anytime soon. You can unlock the plastic straps should you wish to add more cases and YES there is enough space to add at least 25 more film sets. When full, the binder weighs about 8 pounds, which isn't true, to be honest. It's bad. Much less than 92 films with their plastic sleeves. Overall I am very satisfied and will be purchasing 10 more to complete the collection. I also wanted to point out that each format is separated. So DVD movies will have their books, and Blu-rays will also have their books. In addition, the series will have its own. I highly recommend this.
