This is such a GREAT DVD/CD holder and storage companion that I have purchased several of these for my extensive DVD collection. It allows four discs per side, plus room for inlays on the back (probably enough to accommodate 2 disc inlays on each side). I didn't give a fuck about this case. It looks like your DVDs have free space because they have a line that the disc would fit into, but that's not the case. They are stored in the back of the free space and 7/8 of the hard drive is covered so you can't see which movie is which. Although I like the design of this case, it has one major drawback. That's right, you only have to cut them on one side. I find that very annoying. I bought this to finish converting my entire DVD collection to a more usable format. I started with a similar product I got here and it worked great but it was sold out so I bought this one. The sides are different but works great. On the other hand, the discs fit on the back of each side, which is fine, but at the top of each column there is a small fabric tab for the top disc, but not the bottom. I think this is the best way to keep my DVD collection compact. I've used plastic cases from Atlantic, but after a while I found that my DVDs were getting scratched and the plastic was getting brittle, so we went that way instead. I bought several of these folders while trying to organize a very diverse and rapidly growing DVD collection. As another reviewer suggested, I took the case out of the DVD boxes and folded them to fit inside the case, with the DVDs inserted into their slots on the other side. Pages are black mesh "cloth" and book/title page holders are made with translucent plastic pockets attached to black cloth pages. However, the disc pockets are made from the same black fabric so they are completely opaque - without removing the disc you can't tell what the disc is! And it's hard to remove one. I need about 10 of these to make my entire collection. I bought one to try out to see if I like it and so far I'm very happy with it.
