Review on Case Logic DVB 200 Liner Capacity by Ellington Gardner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good but could use improvement

The reason I bought this item was because it helps me organize my movies so I can find the movie I'm looking for faster and free up space on the shelves of my Movies can reduce are busy. It reduced the space nicely but not as well with the organization as I had hoped. Let's say you bought one of these and put some DVDs in a folder in alphabetical order, ABC.Z, and you have about 10 blank discs. pages left at the end. Then you buy the latest Die Hard film and you want to put it next to other D-Movies, how do you do that? First you need to take out one of the blank pages that are at the end of the folder. Guess what? You can't reach them without pulling out all the other pages! Then reinsert the EZ sides, reinsert the new Die Hard film side, and then reinsert the AD sides. It is much work! But the alternative is to put your new movies on blank pages at the end of the folder, where they're cluttered and hard to find. The 3 ring approach would be better if you could just insert or rearrange movies side by side. The sides have room for the DVDs and their inserts, but I wanted to take the cover (the printed sheet that wraps around the DVD box) and put it on its side - then I could just throw the empty box away. But the cover doesn't really go well with the space for notes on the cover. You can't just fold the cover in half; You have to sort of insert the crimp into the lid where it went around the back of the box and then insert the crimp inwards. So, okay, I'm not very good at describing the process; but you can see it's definitely an expense. I have many films and ended up buying three of these cases to fit them all. Reels beginning with the letters AF are written first and so on. So when I want to watch All Creatures Great and Small, I just pull out the case with AF on the back. but wait; no captions available! And in fact, there isn't even a label slot. I guess I could take masking tape, scrawl "AF" on it, and stick it on the spine, but it would look a lot better if the Case Logic guys made a little clear window on the spine and provided an imprinted execution. Letters to slip into there - or at least provide a neat way to label each case. After all, the main reason people buy these cases is to organize their movie collection, right? Well it seems like I was just complaining, complaining, complaining in this review, but I really like these cases. They could use some improvements but overall --- 4 stars!

Can't see discs, book pockets too small, disc pockets must be torn open...
