It has no motion detection function and has not been advertised. It came with mounting screws but I had to use my own as the ones provided only allow you to mount it on a thin wall where you have access to the back to use the nuts provided. Instead of mounting screws, they should have included self-tapping screws for mounting to an insulated wall, like in my RV or other RV. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Cast aluminum fins are very heavy and should make an excellent heat sink. Although I would prefer white.
