So, I'm new to longboarding, coming from pretty steady Paris in the 50's and used to the way they turn and feel. I heard about it on the internet and decided to give it a try. They come with thick soft-taper bushings, both road side and bead side, and are cut out at the end of the hangar so the bottom bracket on the wheel sits flush with the hangar (almost as it eliminates the need for an internal speed ring ). . ). The trucks were very manoeuvrable, to the point where they became unstable at higher speeds. The obvious benefit of this is the ability to make very deep cuts, and it was ideal for that. Haven't tried it downhill yet, but flipping the hangar should make it more stable. I have since replaced the tapered bead liner with a barrel liner on my Paris trucks and they have greatly improved the driveability. The huge ball bearing in the truck's balance center gives plenty of surface area for really nice deep cuts if you want that. Important note: There is no washer under the bead side bushing as the backplate is wide enough to make it strong enough to withstand the bushing itself, but depending on how you think about it the bushing could potentially wear out faster. a very fun take on the traditional RPK longboard. Definitely recommend trying them out.
